Andrew F. Mathieson
Investment professional since 1984


Andy is the founder and managing member of Fairview Capital Investment Management, LLC. Prior to starting Fairview, Andy was a principal at Ashfield & Co, Inc. He earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1978, and his MBA from Stanford University in 1984.

Andy is on the board of Guide Dogs for the Blind, and works in an advisory capacity for the Santa Lucia Conservancy. He also serves on the Board of DiCon Fiberoptics, a private Richmond, California-based manufacturer of passive optical component modules and test instruments.

P. Renae Branscum
Executive professional since 2001


Renae became a member of the client service and operations team after having been the executive assistant to Fairview's founder. Previously, she was a senior administrative assistant for KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory services firm. Earlier she was an executive assistant at Starmine and executive assistant to the president at Triplex, an infoUSA Company. Renae also has experience as a human resources administrator and head bookkeeper. To expand the in-office support to Fairview clients, Renae became a licensed notary public in July, 2011.

Kevin M. Butler
Investment professional since 2009


Kevin is a member of the Fairview research team. Previously, he worked as an associate for Peterson Partners and as an analyst in the global technology group of Barclays Capital's investment banking division. Kevin received a Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University, where he also graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting.

Scott W. Clark
Investment professional since 1995


Scott is a member of Fairview’s research team. He joined Fairview after receiving an MBA from Stanford University. Prior to business school, Scott worked for two years as a research analyst with SPO Partners and for two years at Morgan Stanley as an analyst in investment banking in the mergers & acquisitions group. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1995.

Ramsey B. Jishi
Investment professional since 2002


Ramsey is a member of Fairview’s research team. Prior to joining Fairview, he received his MBA from Stanford University. Before business school, Ramsey spent two years at SPO Partners as a research analyst and two years at the Blackstone Group as an analyst in the restructuring and reorganization group. Ramsey graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 2002 with a BA in Economics.

Peter F. Mathieson

Peter joined the firm in 2012 to establish the Pittsburgh office. Previously, he was the President and a principal shareholder of Guyasuta Investment Advisors. He earned a BA in Economics from Bucknell University in 1983. Peter serves on the Investment Committee and/or the Finance Committee of The Pittsburgh Foundation, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the Buhl Foundation, The Ellis School, the Alumni Board of Bucknell University, the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, and the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.

Marcia J. Nakamura
Investment professional since 1992


Marcia joined Fairview in 2001 and is responsible for compliance and corporate/fund operations. Previously, she worked for Thomas Weisel Partners and Montgomery Securities. Marcia received her undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University.

John F. Rutledge, Jr.
Investment professional since 1993


John is the director of research and a portfolio manager at Fairview Capital. Previously, he worked as a research analyst within the ClearBridge Advisors unit of Legg Mason. His earlier experience includes equity research positions at both Salomon Brothers and Scudder, Stevens & Clark. John received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College in 1993 and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001.

Elaine M. Snyder
Investment and Accounting Professional since 1986


Elaine leads the Operations effort at Fairview Capital. Prior to joining Fairview in 2008, she served as the Director of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer of Far West Capital Management. Elaine's background also includes portfolio accounting and investment management operations experience at both Arthur Andersen & Co. and Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisors (the predecessor to BlackRock). She graduated cum laude from James Madison University with a BBA in Accounting.
